Menokin

Historic site renowned for its innovative approach to preservation and its deep ties to American history. Built in 1769, it was the home of Francis Lightfoot Lee, a signer of the Declaration of Independence, and his wife Rebecca Tayloe. ​The site is open to the public, with guided tours available Tuesday through Friday from 10 AM to 3 PM. The surrounding landscape is accessible daily from 7 AM to 7 PM. Amenities include hiking trails, interpretive exhibits, and opportunities for canoeing and kayaking along Cat Point Creek, a tributary of the Rappahannock River .​
